We cover the main bays, offshore, lakes, rivers, and estuaries around Melbourne and Victoria. With specific details for land-based anglers, kayakers and boaters.
Managing GPS Marks and Waypoints
GPS marks are shared on our weekly report pages. You can enter these GPS marks directly into your sounder or mobile app, such as Navionics. There are instructional walkthrough videos in the member’s area on how to do this.
Please note that entering GPS coordinates directly into Google Maps will not work. Google Maps uses DMM (Degrees and Decimal Minutes), whereas your sounder and mobile apps, such as Navionics, use DMS (Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds), which is for nautical mapping. If you enter GPS marks into Google Maps, you will get inaccurate or unexpected results. Please read our comprehensive guide on common issues with GPS Marks.

Are payments automatic? ( Auto-Renewal Subscription )
All FishingMad Memberships (Monthly & Yearly) are automatically renewed just like other online subscription services. You can check the date of your next automated (Monthly or Yearly) renewal by logging into your account and selecting the “My Subscription” tab found under the “My Account” section.
Payments are automated via Stripe or PayPal. We do NOT keep your banking details on record and the only information we see is an encrypted number + last 4 digits ( Example – xxxx xxxx xxxx 1234 ). You will be automatically billed on a recurring basis either yearly or monthly without notice ( depending on the subscription term which you signed up for Monthly or Yearly ). The subscriptions are ongoing and can be cancelled at any time via the cancellation policy below. Please note that the charges and benefits are clearly outlined on the member’s signup page to avoid any confusion.
If your automated payment renewal fails, the system will automatically retry multiple times ( members will receive email notifications when this happens ) before placing the account ON HOLD. To correct this, you will need to ensure you designated bank account has sufficient funds or update your account with new banking details. To do this, log on to the FishingMad member’s area, select the “Payment Methods’ tab, and edit or update your banking details. When your account is in the status of ON HOLD, you will be able to log in to the members area but will only have access to your “My Account” pages and not the FishingMad members content. You will regain full access once payments have been corrected and cleared.
Fishing cannot be held accountable or liable for damages, losses or fees incurred or arising as a result of a failed auto renewal payment.

We also have an active firewall, antispam and malware running in real-time on the website, looking for any suspicious activity, including firewall and malware scanning. We maintain minimal personal information (only First Name, Surname, Address, phone number, and email address) to minimise any risk, and we do not have access to any of your passwords or banking details (which are encrypted). It’s also essential to ensure you are making the right choices with your PC and mobile devices. Ensure you have the latest operating systems, latest patches and active anti-virus and firewall protection. Avoid visiting high-risk websites and clicking on untrusted websites or email hyperlinks. Ensuring you do the right thing will help with all websites and platforms you visit.
