Welcome to the Olight Perun 3 Mini Review by Fishingmad. I recently got my hands on a brand new gadget, and gee, this tiny little device packs a punch. It’s lightweight, durable, and very versatile for various applications. This is a new mini torch from Olight. It’s called the Perun mini 3 and superseded the previous two generations. This one provides 14% extra brightness. Apart from its versatility, which we will touch on below, the amazing thing about this light is its compact, lightweight design. It weighs a staggering 54 grams, which is amazing. Yet it’s strong with 1,250 lumens of white light that can reach 155 meters. It’s made from a strong aluminium alloy material, making it very durable. It’s also IPX8 waterproof up to 2 meters and drop proof from 1.5 meters high, and it’s backed by a 5-year warranty.
The versatility of this light is second to none. It can be used as a portable handheld, has a magnetic clip that can be attached to many different areas, and most importantly, comes with a head strap to be used as a fully functional head torch. This makes it great for a variety of applications. For me, this is on my boat, kayak, or land-based fishing and at night or in low-light conditions for various tasks. It also came in handy on a recent tyre blowout at night.

The torch is simple to use and intuitive. You can easily switch between the 5 white light settings and 3 red light settings. Simply press to turn on and press to turn off. Hold for 2 seconds to switch between light strength modes, and double-tap when turning on to enable the red light feature. Watch the video above; it couldn’t be easier.
