Welcome to the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 600 Power Station review by FishingMad. As a busy angler on the go, portable power stations have increasingly become an important tool that I use regularly. This might be while I’m off the grid for days camping, offshore on the boat for extended periods, or even just having an enjoyable day in the greater outdoors with the family wanting to cook on the go, enjoy cold drinks and power our devices.
Over the last five years, I have used many portable power stations, especially when filming my fishing TV show in remote areas. I recently bought myself a FlashSpeed 600 Power Station from VTOMAN, as a few features stood out from the crowd. For starters, it has a large volume of charging ports, great portability, 600 watts of power and the ability to double your power with expandable batteries and recharge on the go. We will dive deep into the ports and specifications shortly and chat about the innovative LiFeBMS, a 10-layer safety protection feature.

Now, VTOMAN may be a name you haven’t heard of before, but it is a global leader in energy solutions with 15 years of expertise in batteries and renewable energies. It is also a global distributor of lithium battery solutions with an emphasis on eco-friendly, portable, and innovative power solutions.
I ordered the power station online directly from the VTOMAN website. I bought the package, which included the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 600 Power station + the Extra battery + 200W solar panels. This gives me a variety of ports to power and charge many different items, as well as extended power and recharging capability when on the go. The device arrived three days later and was very well packaged. It was compact, stylish, and, most importantly, intuitive and easy to operate. I immediately identified the different ports and how to connect the additional battery and solar panels. All the cables were included, meaning it’s ready to go once you unbox it.
How to use it
First, you need to charge the unit, which can be done in three simple ways. Firstly, and most commonly, while at home, you can plug it into your AC power outlet, which takes about 60 minutes for a full charge. Otherwise, if you’re on the go, you can use the optional solar panels to charge, which takes between 2 and 4 hours to charge fully, or you can charge it via a 12v connection in your car or boat, which takes 3.5 hours. All of which are simple and effective.
Charging Ports ( so many options )
The standout feature of the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 600 Power Station is the crazy volume of different ports you have available. This includes eight different charging ports, meaning you can power almost any device on the go. This includes
- 1 x 12v
- 2 x USB-C
- 2 x USB-A
- 2 x AC outlets
- 1 x DC552 port
This commonly includes smartphones, GoPro batteries, digital cameras, UV Marine Radios, Fridges, and cooking appliances. Another very smart feature is as you plug in and power multiple devices, it shows you how much power you are using, which is handy.
What I use it for
- Powering portable refrigerator/freezer to keep drinks cool and food frozen
- Charge smartphones, cameras and GoPro’s when filming in remote areas
- Power electric cooking equipment such as electric stove and air fryer whilst camping
- Power notebook and tablet
- Staying online during power outages at home
- I’ve even used it as a UPS when running important server/pc equipment
Portability.
Considering the battery life, these units are pretty portable and well-designed. The unit itself and the solar panels have carry handles, making them easy to transport. It weighs 7.2 kg and measures 316×202.
VTOMAN FlashSpeed 600 Power Station Features
Smart Features
As mentioned above, these power stations have smart features, including optional solar panels, built-in lighting, and an innovative safety and durability system called LiFeBMS. Let’s examine these features in more detail.
Solar panels
The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 600 Power Station can be ordered with Solar Panels that allow you to recharge the unit on the go. You can order different solar panels that will recharge batteries at different speeds. I picked the 200w panels, which worked great. Unfolding the solar panels and connecting the cable to the main unit allows the lithium batteries to be recharged entirely, which only takes between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the position of the solar panels and how strong the sun is. When camping, I usually look for the best spot where the sun is strongest; this can greatly help. However, we were also able to recharge on overcast days.
Light at the back
The unit comes with a light on the back, which is so handy, especially if you’re camping or even find yourself without power at home. Rather than scrambling to find a torch or even a lighter when it’s dark, this is right at your fingertips. There are five different brightness modes, which you can easily toggle through. These include low, middle, high, strobe and SOS, which may be handy in emergencies.
Top storage compartment for cables
The top of the unit has a nice little storage hatch, which I find suitable for storing all the cabling. It’s simple, yet a nice feature that lets you stay organised.
LIFE-BMS
LifeBMS is VTOMANS’ 10 layers of protection to ensure you stay safe and that the device is durable and long-lasting. This includes built-in power surge, short circuit, high voltage, and discharge protection to keep your connected appliances safe and provide long-lasting products. It also ensures the device has built-in temperature protection and sensors. This may not sound super exciting, but the safety of your important devices is paramount when it comes to lithium batteries. I know how much my devices and batteries cost, and ensuring they are protected is very important.
This has been a great purchase. It gives me great flexibility when on the go to stay powered, making my filming, camping, and days out much more enjoyable. It ensures I remain online connected to enjoy and capture those important moments.
The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 600 Power Station cost me $399, or $958, with the additional battery and solar panels bundled.
You can buy it directly from the VTOMAN website. My experience to date has been great. The next time you’re in the market for a portable power station, give these a good look.
