Gone Fishing Day is a celebration of fishing as an excellent recreational pastime in Australia. This day encourages people to go fishing and to engage with their local fishing club or community. This year, it will be held on Sunday, the 19th of October, a perfect time as we move into prime fishing.

To celebrate the occasion, Alan from FishingMad will be at the Sandringham Anglers Club to meet and greet members and visitors, as well as give talks on soft plastics fishing and rigging demonstrations. It will be an excellent day, featuring BBQs, kayaking displays and mods, tackle talks, guest speakers, facilities tours, and much more. The event will run from 10 am to 4 pm and is a fantastic way to engage with an excellent local fishing club.
