I ventured up to Ferntree Gully quarry and managed to catch 10 stocked rainbow trout in 90 minutes fishing from the very scenic reserve. It’s a beautiful location with breathtaking views, active bird life, crystal clear waters and freshwater fishing. Victorian fisheries have stocked this system heavily with rainbow trout and recently have also added Murray cod and golden perch.
