In October 2024 the FishingMad website had a major refresh and rebuild. I appreciate your patience as we transitioned to a new theme while adding new features and enhancements and migrated thousands of articles, images, and pages to the new platform. This has been a massive task with years of feedback taken, research and many months of testing in a development site to minimise the impact on members and visitors. I’m thrilled to announce it went smoothly as planned with zero downtime and minimal impact.

The following improvements, enhancements and changes have been completed. ( Please note some additional changes are coming over the coming weeks )

  • New custom-built theme with a refreshed look and feel
  • More dynamic members area with easier ways to identify new content
  • New views on member’s pages to make scrolling through content quicker and easier
  • Quicker loading times
  • Improved mobile experience
  • Members can now browse historical content including older fishing reports
  • Latest Content headlines for members so when they log in they can immediately see new content
  • What’s new feature headlines for workshops, reports, podcasts, exclusive content, rigging tutorials, sounder tutorials, boating, kayaking, product reviews, and catch and cook so members can identify new content across 10 different sections?
  • A new dedicated boating section for members
  • Changes, merges and renaming sections to make for easier navigation
  • Improved sorting of member’s content
  • New members can now pay with Paypal, and Paypal after pay and continue to use Stripe ( Secure Credit Card ) as the primary payment gateway
  • Tidy up of Google Ads
  • Faster load times of member’s pages
  • Direct link/URL for every piece of member content
  • Member’s content is now searchable* ( coming in Nov )
