Fishing retail outlets close. Thursday the 6th marks as a sad day for the fishing industry in Melbourne. At least 50 fishing retail outlets have temporarily closed doors due to level 4 coronavirus restrictions. It is expected that all shops below will close for 6 weeks as per state government rules recently introduced. This 6 week period will be continually reviewed at the state governments discretion. It means that hundreds of employees will temporarily be out of a job and looking to job keeper as a means of financial support. Our wishes go out to all those impacted.

Many of these stores will continue to offer online purchases and some offer free delivery on products. Whilst some shops will be able to provide a pure click and collect model. No doubt we will see a spike in online shopping purchases during these times. Especially whilst thousands are trying to stay occupied during isolation.
