March the 3rd Alan teamed up with many other local jet ski and fishing enthusiasts. All this for the Melbourne Seadoo fishing competition held at Altona. Unfortunately the conditions were 40k northerly winds which made the going really tough. Because of the high wind and swell the guys took off but stayed reasonably close top shore. Alan was fishing with good buddy Mark. They were on the Seadoo fish pro 155 jet ski, which is very cool. The jet ski cutting through the choppy conditions with ease. Alan and Mark landed flathead, Pinkies, snook, and squid with a variety of soft plastics including the fathead curltail, and slim minnow. The best catches of the day were a 38cm pinkie taken on a progrub and a 70+cm snook taken on a fathead curl tail.
