Alan Bonnici ventured of from Werribee boat ramp and headed towards Corio bay. Finding an area that was weedy and around 4 meters deep. He anchored up and then started berleying up using berley pellets, pilchard chunks and tuna oil. He then cast out 2 rods. 1 with a whiting flasher patanoster rig and the other a basic running sinker rig. The baits of choice was small strip of squid and pippis. It didn’t take long for the whiting to turn up and in a short 2 hour session Alan landed 15 whiting between 30 and 45cm. What a great way of fishing and a great feed on its way. Alan put together a video of the session packed with some tips on how to target whiting which can be seen here https://youtu.be/IA43ko9I1u8
