Matthew Pitisano recently walked the banks of Albert Park Lake keen to land some EP’s and GP’s.  Using lightly weighted jig heads, flicking 2.5 inch Z-man grub soft plastics in various colours. Looking for movement and clearing amongst the weed. To Matthews delight he managed to land 2 lovely Golden Perch between 40cm and 50cm. Always some tense moments landing these fish which don’t fight extremely hard but have weight and girth that demands respect on light fishing gear. Certainly making his fishing combo a Shimano Catana and Sienna 2500 combo earn its keep Matthew also lost a big one as he struggled to hold to rod and land the fish at the same time. Always devastating to loose a good fish but 2 good yellas in one outing only minutes from the CBD of Melbourne is certainly a good days fishing. .
