John Regali spent the morning fishing for bream on the Maribyrnong river along the new jetty behind the Anglers Tavern in Essendon. It was a reasonably slow start to the day but the bream finally came on the chew on the tide change.  Berelying the area regularly and using small baits helped John land several bream over legal size. The catch of the day was a beautiful 41cm bream that gave John a few heart stopping scares when it went for a last second dash under the structure of the jetty. Was finally landed safely, enough time for a photo then released to fight another day, which is how we like it. Well done John.
