Lagoon Pier Snapper Port Melbourne Fishing Report. Isaac has been fishing at Lagoon Pier in Port Melbourne, eager to get an early season snapper. After putting in the hours he was eventually rewarded with a beautiful 2.5-kilo snapper. He was fishing 40lb running sinker rig with a single reedys 5/0 circle hook on half a pilchard. Was an exciting moment for Isaac who makes his own fishing rigs.
Catching snapper land-based isn’t an easy task so we always appreciate seeing catches like this. It was caught at 10:30 am and peak high tide was at 10:58 am. I think that smile says it all, great catch Isaac.
